This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.
Need an Official Record?
Use these official starting points for Franklin County records:
- Court case files: see the court case lookup, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Georgia criminal histories: follow Georgia Bureau of Investigation and GCIC procedures
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Franklin County Sheriff's Office
- Authorized fingerprint checks: register through GAPS and IdentoGO with the required service code
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Record restriction and court sealing: follow O.C.G.A. §35-3-37; the starting office depends on the arrest date and may be the arresting agency or prosecutor, while sealing is a separate court process
For sheriff and detention records, contact Records Supervisor Marcus Greer through the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, 1 James Little Street, Carnesville, GA 30521, at 706-384-2525. Court documents must be requested from the relevant clerk instead.
